Research Interests and Statements
I encountered the television series Lie to Me, which is based on the work of Professor Paul Ekman
and explores the identification of deception through the observation of micro-expressions. I adopted
a multidisciplinary approach to my research: from a psychological perspective, I investigated the mechanisms
of lying and the generation of micro-expressions to validate their efficacy in lie detection; simultaneously,
from a computer science perspective, I focused on constructing micro-expression datasets and developing
various algorithms for automatic detection and recognition. Furthermore, as a person with disabilities,
I am also interested in Accessible Computing and the mental health of individuals with disabilities.
